A little snippet from September’s snail mail short story:
The sky was cerulean blue, the breeze off the Atlantic brisk, and the damp beach that usually felt heavenly scrubbing against her feet now felt like it was pulling her down.
Sam stopped abruptly and sank to the wet sand, covering her face with chilly hands. What had happened? She couldn’t even begin to understand. Just this morning she had her dream job, a cute apartment in the city, and everything had been going according to her five-year plan.
Now, the job was gone, the apartment was in jeopardy, and her life had come to a screeching halt.
